About us
Every business starts with a reason — a gap worth filling, or a better way of doing something. Ours started that way, and the way we work still comes from it.
We would rather be judged on the work than on what we say about it. We do what was agreed, we tell you early if anything changes, and we are easy to get hold of.
The whole of it comes down to this: the thing you asked for, done on the terms you were told, by the people who said they would do it.
How the business took shape
At the outset
One customer, and no plan for a second
The work came first and the business was arranged around it afterwards, which is the way round most of them actually happen.
Not long after
The second came from the first
Nobody had been asked for a recommendation. One arrived anyway, and that is still how a good share of the work reaches us.
As it went on
We wrote down how we work
Explaining the same thing to every new customer suggested it was worth setting out once, properly. Most of this site is that.
Where we are now
Still deciding what to grow into
There are things we would like to add and things we have decided against, and the deciding factor each time is whether we could keep doing them well.
